Men: Push-up circuit for slimmer waist and broader chest



Do we have any men in the house? Here's a workout program that can make your waist slimmer, arms stronger and back broader. It's an all new push-up circuit that will help you build bolder shoulders.

I believe that in a man's world, when it comes to shoulders, the bolder the better and one of the ways to achieve this is by making push-ups a favourite in your workout regime, but we're not talking about the classic push-ups here. This is an all new push-up circuit that will make your shoulder muscles bulge and your upper body burn. This circuit will challenge your body from three different directions increasing the demand in each shoulder and eliminating weakness.

Here's how the push-up circuit works. First of all it includes the regular push-up, the push-up to right plank and the push-up to left plank. Do 15-20 reps of each exercise in this circuit, rest for 30 seconds to 60 seconds and repeat.



Push-up circuit guide

1. Get into the push-up position.
2. Perform a regular push-up.
3. Do one push-up, as you come up shift your weight on the left side of the body, twist to the side while bringing the right arm up towards the ceiling in a side plank.
4. Lower the arm back to the floor for another push-up and then twist to the other side.
5. Repeat the series, alternating each side, for 10 or more reps.


This simple but effective push-up circuit will ignite your muscle growth and help you build strength. It'll also help you push your post workout body metabolism through the roof while it keeps your frame in check.

  1. I'm sure there are some men reading your blog, I'm one of them. I'll try them out and incorporate it in my working-out routine if I think it's good. I'm participating in a charity calendar next summer so need to step up efforts in the gym :)
